Life Cypha is an online organization that offers an opportunity to dialogue about commonly discussed topic of the hip hop culture. The company name is a two word description of our mission statement. A cipher is defined as a message in code; with the same significance, our organization highlights an urbanized rendition of the traditional spelling making our mission to highlight the message in code, behind the lifestyle of the urban culture—in this case, Hip-Hop. The Life Cypha mission is to highlight the message, or substance, behind the persona of hip hop.

Why we exist:
The idea of Life Cypha was birthed when the founder became aware of how often people participated in online dialogue. Taking a cue from this new phenomenon, Life Cypha devotes its online operations toward intense dialogue—not about what hip-hop artists are doing, but what they are SAYING.

What we believe:
We believe that hip hop is an urban style of music and culture that was birthed with intensions of getting the urban voice heard creatively. Similar to an artistic protest, the theme of most songs concentrated on social issues, but over time its true form has been overshadowed by materialism, misogyny, and a misrepresentation of manhood, women, and success.

We believe that hip hop still has a prominent effect on today’s youth and young adults, yet with the bombardment of negative music distributed throughout the public, there is a desperate need for change.

We believe that artists of today’s hip-hop culture are somewhat idolized because the messages they express, although predominately negative, still contain various forms of truth and/or reality.
